Do I really have to keep posting stuff? He does new, stupid things every day (you know....fire the person who stopped the escalator....even though it was probably a member of his own staff and a MISTAKE!!!)....dumbest, most cry baby president EVER!!! And this is even though he spends most of his time on the golf course...spending your tax dollars.

I video chatted with Janice on Wednesday morning (9/24), then managed to get a customer quilt loaded up:

before our ZOOM call with our financial planner. I had a list of questions to get through and we got all of them answered as well as finding out that we are solvent for another year :~).
I headed back to the studio afterwards and got the program set up on the quilt, and polished off the first row of quilting (each row of this pattern takes a LO_O_O_ONG time to stitch out)

while watching A CHORUS LINE. I haven’t seen that movie in FOREVER…and the great songs just keep swirling around in my head!
Michael came home with pizzas for dinner and he had a funny story about pizza…he was in LOWE’s the other day buying a special ceiling light and as he was checking out, there was a guy sitting on a bench. When Michael got close to him, he stopped Michael and said ‘’you used to buy pizza at FIGARO’s…right’’? Michael said yes and the guy said ‘’I remember you and your wife coming in’’. Now why is this unusual? FIGARO’s has been gone for probably SIXTEEN YEARS!!!! What an unbelievable memory for faces that guy has!

Thursday (9/25) was all about quilting…Michael packed up my car and I headed out. I helped a couple of my students with their chandelier quilts, and got 2 bindings made for myself before show and tell (I apologize for some of the blurry pics...but I try to take them as quickly as I can because people are almost constantly moving!):
-a grandchild's drawing that was turned into a quilt block

I stayed till around 2 PM, then left for a routine hearing aid appointment, before getting home around 3:30. I just read my book in the living room and talked to my honey before we had leftover pizza for dinner and snuggled in to watch some TV.

Michael headed out golfing on Friday morning (9/26) even though it was kind of drizzly and I headed to the studio to continue quilting. I only got one more row done before leaving for my massage.
I made a quick stop at the library before heading home to meet Judy and do intake on a quilt. Then it was back to the studio til about 5 PM.
I headed to the kitchen to put together a dinner I rarely make…..meatloaf:

Michael loves my meatloaf and once again pronounced it excellent! He was watching the Ryder Cup until around 7 PM, then we had dinner and settled in for a perfect date night of watching A MIGHTY WIND….an oldie but one of our absolutely favorite movies…with music we both ADORE!

BG WILL BE HERE IN 2 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (and Steven too :~)
Michael was out of the house shortly after 7 AM Saturday morning (9/27), heading to Nation’s Ford and a Mustang car show he was participating in:

-thank goodness he didn't want to trade up to this over $500,000 one!!! Well....maybe he actually did....but knew I'd say NO!! Even though it looks totally cool!

I spent most of the day babysitting the bottom half of my customer quilt. There were a few problems….

but babysitting really paid off as I was able to navigate around them and have a better than decent looking finish:

And I got my skinny inner purple border all around my UFO king sized quilt:

My honey came home with a gold metal:

finishing first as a 7th generation Mustang in his category…he was PSYCHED! We had a lovely dinner and just watched regular TV before bed.
And here's another TOTALLY FINISHED QUILT from Leila...it's a chandelier!:

And 10 years ago....
*** Sure, a day without quilting probably won't kill me, but why risk it? ***
*** Isn't it weird that STAR TREK always went where no one had gone before...and they always found someone there? ***
*** You know you're getting older when you start to notice little gray hairs in your children's hair. ***
Congratulations Michael on your award! I think the two of you would look fabulous in that Mustang! I love all of the Show and Tell quilts, especially the Christmas tree one, the Halloween one and the Fall table runner! Leila's chandelier quilt is beautiful! I love the colors on the black!
Sure is funny (sad) seeing people who are not around 10 years later...
Great chandelier quilts!!
