Thursday was all about quilting at Ocseola…with really good show and tell (I really need to learn to wait for my camera to focus on some of these pictures....but trust me...most of the time people are whipping them up and down so fast....I'm lucky I get what I get. However, some of the members have gotten really nice about waiting until Carolina and I get our pics!!!):
-this quilt of Paula's is so beautiful...I LOVE the stars!!! And of course, the color!
-and Paula's totally finished bee quilt....notice those turquoise toes at the bottom :~)
I didn’t get home until around 3 PM (I stopped and picked up more pills for Cookie, and ran by Laura’s house for some rainbow thread) and Michael and I talked until he left at 4 PM.
I was a theatre widow for dinner and the evening on Thursday….check out this ‘’sharp dressed man’’ (ZZ Top rules!!!):
- Michael was off to Charlotte for a one-night stint as Nemo Brandt, a golf executive for Sadasi sports gear. This is what he had to memorize for his speech at the beginning of the evening:
And then he had at least 6 pages of what you call his ''back story''. After everyone introduces themselves, they go around to all of the tables and have to answer any questions the guests put to them...they answer based on what they learned of their back story. Then the guests try to identify the murderer.....even the actors don't know ahead of time if THEY are the murderer!! Many of the guests thought Michael was last night, but it turned out to be his friend Peter. Here's the entire cast (along with Mugsy B, who was raising money for his charitable foundation). I just got an update from the director who asked that the following be posted:"Charlotte Murder Mystery Company was booked to participate in a fundraiser event for the Mugsy Bogues Family Foundation on June 29th in uptown Charlotte. It was a great success and everyone had a wonderful time. You can book us for your event. Go to our website https://www.charlottemurdermysterycompany.com "
Susan came over with her dinner and we spent a wonderful couple of hours talking and watching a movie. Michael didn’t get home until after 10:30, so then we sat up talking until after mid-night!
