We got a late start on Monday (12/26)…our internet provider sent a guy to the house to check out why we had such extended problems…and he fixed a few wires in our box on the side of the house. We braved the crowds and picked up a few things from a few different stores before finally getting back home around NOON. I immediately headed to the studio and told Michael I would be there all day and night :~). He made me a YUMMY breakfast sandwich to keep me going while I finished cutting all of my 15 men’s fabrics:
And started to sew them together:
I went back upstairs before 8 PM for our Christmas movie…tonight it was HOLIDAY INN.
I decided to post some of my stats here now, because I have ended my stats for XENA (my longarm) for the year….anything I do starting today wll go into the 2023 year. So, I did 54 quilts on XENA this year…..at least I am keeping up with my goal of 1 quilt per week! I finished one quilt for someone else to donate to charity; I did 1 commission quilt, 33 of the quilts were customer quilts and 15 were quilts that I donated to the local dialysis center. I did 3 Quilts of Valor and 1 quilt for the house (my snuggle quilt down in the studio). I didn’t do any Beds=Dreams quilts this year, but I had 4 leftover from pandemic years that I donated this year. I'm glad to know that because I definitely want to do some Beds=Dreams quilts for 2023. My totals since I first got a longarm are as follows:
Beds = Dreams 36
Charity for others 22
Clinton 62
Commission Quilt 4
Customer 241
Dialysis/kids 40
Dog Beds 6 (this category will never grow...these were quilts I did
for practice when I got XENA)
Gifts 22
Prayers & Squares 10
Quilts of Valor 65
Us - quilts we kept 9
The category I am most proud of is having done 65 Quilts of Valor....I can't wait to complete more for 2023.
*** My diet has failed....I shall now concentrate on growing taller. ***
When did you get Xena? The numbers are very impressive! 🙂
I'm 6 foot 2 inches and it doesn't help!!!
