My honey left before 8 AM on Wednesday(9/28) for golf, and I got my customer quilt basted:
before leaving for a routine appointment with my Primary Care Doc. He was very pleased with my progress…both with my diabetes and with the iron levels in my blood…although he still didn’t clear me to give blood just yet. I picked up a couple of prescriptions at CVS and a cake at Harris Teeter before heading home.
I finally got the striped quilt top finished:
Adding the skinny sashing took quite a bit of time, but I really think it adds a lot to the quilt, so I’m glad I did it.
By then it was time for my second appointment of the day…my follow up with the knee doctor. He also seemed really pleased with my knee…I really like this guy…he’s very enthusiastic about pretty much everything and we had a really good talk about several things while we were together. I don't have to see him again until next year....a year after the susgery.
When I got home my honey was there….he said he had a terrible front nine with a 48….but a much better back nine with a 38…for an 86. I finally started to rip out and reclaim a bunch of fabric from something I quilted ages ago, before stopping to celebrate our neighbor Kay's 80th birthday with a driveway party:
We sat out there for a couple of hours…and it was wonderful since we haven’t been together in FOREVER!!! The only bad thing was that the weather dropped from 90 the day before....to 60!!!

Another successful Devo production!!
