So, Susie and I got to talking about the Boston Crème Pie cookies on Thursday at quilting…and then we morphed onto other cookies we liked, and which ones we didn’t bake very often because we would eat them all…and of course ended up talking about sugar cookies (the drop kind, not the roll out and decorate kind). I hardly ever make them because I love them and will eat them all up…and like me…Susie likes bend-y cookies (as opposed to crispy cookies, which Paula likes!) and I decided I had to make a batch. I mixed up the almond flavored sugar cookie dough Friday night and baked them off first thing Saturday (10/16):

And I forgot to tell you yesterday that Sheila is a card maker and she brought me some cards as a thank you:

I love handmade cards! When I took the dog out before heading downstairs....I saw what will probably be the last iris of the season:

I spent the rest of the afternoon pulling stuff together for reatreat…and when June showed up we headed over to Susie’s to drop off cookies. I did manage to get another set of HST's done:

Pat came by in the late afternoon to pack most of the stuff into the car, and June and I were ‘’early to bed’’ so that we could leave at o’dark hundred for retreat!
