My honey cut a bouquet of hydrangeas:
which I dropped off at friend Susan’s house (she’s recovering from knee surgery) as I headed to Food Lion Sunday morning (8/14). Michael and Cookie were out walking and we all ended up getting home at exactly the same time :~). I got dog food (brown rice, sweet potatoes, chicken, mixed veggies) in the crockpot before heading downstairs to get my blog out. Michael had his gas housers:
out on the lanair, as it was another gloriously cool morning!
I settled in to more binding-making after that:
then worked on getting the 4th QoV cleaned up and off of my frame:
Once it was trimmed I headed upstairs to attach the binding:
I worked on the binding on and off all day….and after stitching down the label in the evening…I have another totally finished quilt:
This is a riff on a jelly roll race pattern which I will not do again as I don't like how they come out. I think I can find better patterns for jelly rolls.
I am totally psyched….I had one QoV finished last Thursday…and now I have 4!!! I will have 3 for show and tell this week…and then 2 will be given away…in short order I hope...to 2 people I met at my current PT location. Michael left in the afternoon for rehearsal, and I had company while I was sewing:
He picked up fish and chips from ARBY’s on the way home….a surprisingly excellent dinner!
*** It’s been ‘’one of those days’’ for like, 3 years now. ***
Love the Gorgeous hydrangeas !!! I like the jelly roll QOV as well....
Great job on getting all the bindings done.
I like theQov . It is different from the usual “pattern “ ones . I think it has a lot of interest.
I love your finished QOV. It looks scrappy and you know me😀
