Michael and I had a leisurely breakfast on Sunday (8/15), and then I sewed down the Bento binding on the other side of my quilt. You know what that means….after stitching down the label in the evening, and weaving in my binding ends, I have a TOTALLY FINISHED QUILT:
The anticipated rain held off in the afternoon, so I got a lot of quilting done on my ‘charms on point’:
and by 5 PM (just ahead of the thunder), it was done:
My honey left in the afternoon to see a classic screening of one of the early BATMAN movies….at least that’s what he was supposed to do…but he texted me that he got the theatre wrong, and was going to end up seeing A QUIET PLACE 2….yikes…I’ve seen the previews and that things looks SO CREEPY! Then, he called me after the movie to say he didn’t see that one either…he saw some other creepy gory movie….I have no idea what happened :~). He hit the grocery store on the way home, and we had turkey and stuffing and cranberry sauce, etc for an August timed Thanksgiving dinner.
Arizona Mary has been on FIRE recently and has her own Show & Tell show:
-she took a movie of her 2 pupplies and her finished bento blocks quilt:
-she finished 2 wall hangings:
-completed a new kingsized bed quilt for her and Rick:
-and recovered a sleep sofa at their home in the mountains:
-a woman in her neighborhood makes felted bears and wanted sweaters for them, so Arizona Mary knitted 10 sweaters and stitched a heart on each one:
Is that incredible or what!??!
***If a cookie falls on the floor and you pick it up….that’s a squat…right? ***
WOW to the recovered couch!! and the bears!
LOVE your bento box !!
Kudos to both you and Mary for all the finished projects. Beautiful!! Part of me doesn't want vacation to end, but part of me is definitely chomping at the bit to get sewing again...
