Totally finished quilt, SHQ Show & Tell 12/1/22

I left Cookie lying alone in the sun:

and headed downstairs to SKYPE with Janice Wednesday morning (11/30) before getting a label done for my striped quilt:

and starting to apply the binding:

I got the 6 quilts on my to-be-bound pile done...this was an extra one I snuck in before receiving Sandy's quilt. This will probably be my last finished quilt of the year....we'll see.

Even though it had been raining hard for several hours, Michael eventually left for golf…and even though it was a ‘’slog’’ in his words…he had a good time. I continued to sew on my binding, and finished it up, and then stitched down the label for another totally finished quilt:

That’s 7 finished quilts in about 2 weeks…and I think I am quilted out! I spent part of the afternoon reading, before heading back to the studio to dig out the 3rd quilt from the Scrap Happy box…another quilt that needs the back to be pieced :~(.

While we were watching TV….Lucy was all snuggled up in the cardboard house:

My car was totally packed with stuff Thursday morning (12/1) when I headed off to quilting. Part of the ‘’swag’’ was the 5 quilts I took in for show and tell…:

-I had 2 quilts exactly alike....one stayed at Scrap Happy for our Prayers & Squares ministry, and 1 went to a woman in a nursing home, recently diagnosed with cancer

-these next 3 quilts still need to be washed before being given to the dialysis center in Lancaster:

I got to start on a new project…a 2 color quilt made in the Strip Twist pattern, and we had TONS of other show and tell:

-these are going to be pot holders

-June's extra large king-sized quilt for a friend

-Paula's going to repair this quilt, which got singed in a couple of places

-this was a repaied quilt

-we hope Laura will teach this as a class

-Jerri even made a cute Christmas pin

-Laura has been running a mystery quilt for the last several months....these next pictures are the ones that are finished so far.....4 other people still have to complete their tops

I had a list of errands to run on the way home….convenietly forgetting that I had a massage at 1:45 PM….so I only got to the post office (to pick up flat rate boxes) and the bank before heading to my massage. It was FABULOUS…and I picked up something at Pat’s house, and dropped off something at Sharon’s house before finally getting home at 4 PM.

I was starving….so had some cheese and crackers while having an hour long conversation with Mary Lee. Michael made pierogis for dinner while I got to read for a bit, and then we settled in front of the boob tube for the rest of the night.

2 – you don’t believe in Santa

3 – you play Santa

4 – you look like Santa ***

*** This time of year is great because you can shout ‘’DON’T COME IN HERE’’ and people assume you’re wrapping their presents, instead of just wanting to be left alone. ***
