Are we doing the right thing for Cookie? Our moods lately are so very dependent on whether or not she is eating anything and if so, how much and whether we can get her pills down her. Her attitude remains good….tail wags a lot…she went for a short walk with Michael on Monday morning (7/3)…it’s just very hard to know what to do. Her energy level is not where it used to be…..but it would be hard to maintain that on what little she is consuming…but she still seems to be happy and enjoying life.
Michael ran some errands in the morning, and got me 2 whirly-gigs for the back of my bike. I’m trying to make it easier for cars to see me:
On the good news front….DOC MARTIN is back on PBS!!!!! I love this show and just saw the first new one in ages!!! Made me smile while I was sewing together my Walk About rows :~). I got all of the rows completed and together:
before heading upstairs for dinner. Robin brought in squash from her garden last Thursday, and I finally got to use it up:
- put 2 tablespoons of the oil of your choice in a skillet and get it nice and hot before adding in chopped onions
-once they've started to brown, add in some bella mushrooms, along with a bit of Lowry's seasoned salt
-once they're browned add in the chopped yellow squash (you may have to add a bit more oil along the way)
-then the zucchini
-mix it all together and add in 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce and scrape up all of the browned bits on the bottom of the pan
-dump in about 7 oz of your favorite past
-toss it all together and serve with some feta cheese on top...yum!! Ours made enough for dinner for 2 nights.
