My honey left for golf around 8 AM on Wednesday (5/17), and I SKYPE’d with Janice starting at 9. Janice and I finished up at 10:30 (our usual amount of time) and I had a bit of time to eat some yoghurt and blueberries for breakfast before Kathy (from Machine Embroidery) came over at 11 AM to talk about all manner of things! She brought along some flower embroidery designs for me to look at, and I gave her a quilting book for a quilt she is thinking of doing. She wanted to see XENA in action:
and luckily it only took me about 15 minutes to finish setting up to go. Kathy left before 1 PM and I continued to quilt on XENA, and sew more rows for my 4 patch:
XENA’s computer got into an update situation, and put the kibosh on me quilting for several hours, but by the time I went upstairs at 8 PM, my 4 patch quilt top was done:
So, remember this quilt?
I made it to use up some fat quarters that were sent to me in error, and the company told me just to keep them. Anyway, when it was done, I had one 4’’ strip from every color, and one 2-1/4’’ strip from every color…and that’s where the 4 patch top came from.
I got pictures of the 2 quilts Mary Jo and I quilted while she was here:
-this is an exploding heart...for her sister's birthday:
And, this was a challenge quilt:
And here's the back:
*** I’m really not into spring cleaning……come to think of it, I’m not into summer, fall or winter cleaning either. ***
Love your 4 patch quilt.
Really love both of Mary Jo's quilts, especially the exploding heart! Your 4 patch is great! Watching XENA is mesmerizing!!
