Michael left just after 8 AM on Saturday morning (11/5) for golf here at SCCL, and I started to load up Linda’s quilt:
Blue and yellow together are so cheery, aren't they? I would like to make a good start on this before leaving for retreat Monday morning…and June and I already have plans of things to do Sunday night :~). I got the program set up and kicked off the first rows of quilting:
while I worked on packing some things for retreat.
Michael got home around 1:30, kind of happy with his score of 90, but his birdie streak is over :~(. We were both a little hungry, so he made a grilled ham/cheese sandwich and we split it:
I headed upstairs about an hour before dinner with a few things to do…I know I mentioned that the chicken dish the other night had WAY too many noodles….so I poached some more chicken:
and made more sauce:
and added some more veggies:
then I dumped everything together….sorted it into 2 casserole dishes:
put a topping of seasoned bread crumbs, Parmesan and butter on them:
and slid one into the oven (and one into the freezer), for another winner, winner, chicken dinner!
After that it was TV and knitting time.
And this one’s for my honey….
*** When a woman in her sewing room says 5 more minutes…think the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter and both teams have all of their timeouts! ***
Love the quilting design for the blue and yellow quilt!
Casserole looks great !
Love the comparison too.
I appreciate the comparison! Like at the end of a golf tournament which might go to a playoff!
