US Companies announced they will add only 1494 jobs in August...the fewest since the 2008 Great Recession. We had the world's greatest economy in January...and it took 1 man only 7 months to destroy it.

Thursday (9/4) was all about quilting….and show and tell:

and food:

A new quilt customer dropped off a quilt after quilting, and she had a bunch of questions, and wanted to see all of my quilts….and ended up staying for over an hour! It was nice as it gave me a chance to get to know her a bit better.
I read for just a bit before Pam:

showed up just after 5 PM for an evening of munching and drinking and talking! She stayed until 8 PM and we still didn’t get through everything we wanted to talk about! I talked with my honey after that, then watched a bit of TV before bed.

Friday (9/5) was an exciting day as the jeweler called about my ring! The plastic mold was done, so Iris and I hustled over there to see it. I really wanted to check it out to see the 2 bigger rubies in their new positioning. I hope the ring is finished soon as I keep ''feeling'' for it on my finger!:

Michael said my diamond looked HUGE, and it does, especially as it was not set down in the ring and I wanted Iris to get a close up so that Michael could see everything…I can hardly wait to see it finished! I guess I wouldn't have to go through all of this if I took it in to get my prongs checked once in awhile :~).
I did a lot of cleaning up in my sewing room in the afternoon, and had sleepy company while doing it:

but finally got my customer quilt bobbin ends woven in and got it off of the frame. I did NOT trim it….as I don’t trim quilts with a minky backing.

I hopped up Saturday (9/6) to get the new customer quilt loaded up:

and kicked off the quilting:

I think this pattern is absolutely beautiful on this quilt…can’t wait for my customer to see it. And, I also did her ''label'' on the front of the quilt:

I worked on that all day as well as creating the blocks for my new chandelier quilt:

And finally on Saturday night, I finished re-claiming all of the leftover longarm fabric from my QoV....which I've been working on every night while Michael has been away:

I worked on the new customer quilt all day Sunday (9/7) and it was finished shortly after my honey came home from his golf retreat on Kiawah Island:

He had a fabulous time, but we were both pooped and ended up taking a nap!
While my customer quilt was stitching out….I got all of the blocks laid out on the newest chandelier:

Can’t wait to get it sewn together to show my students.
And 10 years ago.....
*** We put a man on the moon years ago......YEARS! I'm confused why we stopped....we could have had them all up there by now. ***
*** I've come to the conclusion that my memory is like an ETCH_A_SKETCH.....I shake my head and forget everything. ***
*** I don't have a fabric stash.....I have a textile investment portfolio. ***
Thank you my honey for letting me get away for a while!
All of the Show and Tell quilts are great, but the two baby quilts are stunning! I really love your new customer's quilt! The color combination is so cheerful! The food at quilting looked fabulous. I LOVE your new setting for your ring!
Your newest Chandelier Quilt in those greens is stunning…and with just 2 colors! Love!!
I can relate to the ETCH_A_SCETCH comment. Is there a remedy for Shaking Head?🥴
