As I was tying my shoelaces on Saturday morning (8/20) I saw something in the backyard….so I raced downstairs to get a video:
Michael left before 8 AM for golf, and I headed to my studio and sewed my first color for the Arizona Mary quilt:
confirming that my quilt math is/was correct…..so I can go ahead and cut the rest of my colors. Lucy was with me while I was sewing....
do you think she has noticed that she used to sleep on SIX quilts....and now there are only TWO???
I wanted to load my first customer quilt…isn’t it beautiful…this is the backing fabric and I love it:
And here’s the top:
After cutting the batting and laying the top on….that’s all the further I got :~(, I was just too pooped to do anything else! My honey came home….THRILLED with his game! A 39 on the back…and a 39 on the front, and TWO birdies!!!
We had grilled hot dogs, macaroni salad and corn on the cob for dinner (YUMM-O) and settled in to watch a bunch of old MARY TYLER MOORE episodes before bed.
I got more info from Debbie about the ''pretzel'' picture: That picture was taken 7/28/22 at a golf course restaurant in Hanover, PA. By the way, the pretzel was fantastic and was complimented by a beer cheese sauce and whole grain mustard. Yummy!! There were three of us eating it.
And Michael says this quote is just perfect for me...
*** We must recognize that, as we grow older, we become like old cars – more and more repairs and replacements are necessary." - C.S. Lewis ***
Although I hope and pray that all of my ''replacements'' are finished!!
Fantastic deer video! Wish I was there for it!
The customer quilt is beautiful! And i'll bet Lucy doesnt notice at all. Lol
