Tuesday morning (10/24) was great as the Christian Services truck came and took away our guest room queen sized bed, and 2 sets of bedding…that’s the first step in moving towards getting our new king-sized bed set up in our bedroom. Next step is moving our current queen sized canopy bed down to the guest room…that’s tentatively scheduled for next Tuesday morning. Then I have to juggle the delieveries of the frame….and the mattresses, coming from 2 different places….and then….the best part……I get to make a new quilt!!! Although Janice and I talked about the fact that making a king sized quilt is going to take FOR-EV-ER!!!
After that, I got to have almost an hour long phone conversation with Mary Jo…that was lovely as we talked about a thousand different things :~).
My honey was home by then from the chiro and PT for his knee and we had a bit of lunch together before heading back downstairs…him to pull together his bio and a headshot for the program for THE OUTSIDER, and me to get through a bit of computer paperwork before getting back to sewing. The paperwork included getting the deliveries set up in the right order for our new bed….hopefully everything will be done by Nov 4th. Keep your fingers crossed that everything works in the order it is supposed to :~).
I got to SKYPE with Janice after that....it was a wonderful conversation....she is always so insightful about people and their actions and motivations and always has good suggestions for me whenever I'm having a problem.
I spent another hour after that winding embroidery bobbins:
in order to get a start on cast gifts. I got to pick Pat’s brains and get a few tips when she was here yesterday (since she is a much more prolific and knowledgeable machine embroiderer than I am), and I started stitching on my towels. If it works well….I have to do 10 of them (and I thought Fort Mill was doing smaller casts….no such luck this time!) Just about dinnertime I finished up the first one:
I think it turned out really well….I still have to rip out the basting, cut away the stabilizer on the back, and dissolve the stabilizer on the front….and then do it all over again on 9 more :~).
My honey decided to stay home and snuggle for the evening, so he made popcorn and picked a movie: LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring…we haven’t watched these in FOREVER!!! I can hardly wait to watch 2 & 3.
And, in the gratuitous puppy pics....these terrific entries from Michael:
Actually sharing the puppy bed out on the lanair!
*** I’ve always wondered why lemonade is made from artificial flavors, but furniture polish is made from real lemons. ***
I love how they’re sharing the bed & their patch of sun!
