Michael had early morning blood work on Tuesday (2/13) in advance of his annual physical next week. I headed to the studio to get all of the basting ripped out of Darlene’s quilt and the ends sewn in before taking it off of the frame. I got it all cleaned up and then it was time to take an hour out of our day and head out to finally pick up my car! We got home without incident….unfortunately, I was following Michael and he said the headlights were definitely pointing all over the place. Since he needs to drive this car at night Saturday AND Sunday, he took back off for Young’s to get them fixed.
I worked on pressing open the seams (which takes FOREVER!!!) on all of my columns for the new cat quilt:
and also got it all sewn together:
This is not really big enough for a dialysis quilt...actually it is long enough at 62 inches....but not wide enough at 48 inches, and I don't want to just add borders on 2 sides, so I think I'm going to leave it alone and save it for a kid's quilt.
I got Darlene’s quilt trimmed and started to load up her second one by the time Michael got back home.
A friend of mine is looking for a cleaning service that will come just once a month….if you’re currently using someone like that…and you think they do a good job…could you please let me know?
And Janice finished a new QoV…she tweaked a pattern she already had into something completely new:
*** The true measure of strength is being able to open a box of THIN MINT Girl Scout Cookies….without eating a whole sleeve. ***
Is the cat quilt a four patch frenzy?
I like Janice new quilt
Nice QoV janice!!
