Clean-up, quilting done on blue chandelier

I did a bit of clean-up Tuesday morning (1/3)…this is the table in the basement that is supposed to hold stuff to go upstairs (The bag on the floor isn’t trash, it’s stuff for dog beds and I hope to deliver it on Thursday):

For example, my honey frequently brings my breakfast down to the studio…and after I’m done, I use it to put my dirty dishes on…I haven’t been able to do that for quite awhile, but it looks like this now:

I am teaching a class on machine binding at Scrap Happy in February, and I need to have 2 quilts quilted, and have the binding put on one side of one of them, so I loaded up backing for 2 quilts on XENA and got the first one basted:

(Michael was out running errands: CVS Harris Teeter, the chiro) . When he got home, he made us the most wonderful lunch:

after which I started quilting:

I continued to quilt in the afternoon, and Michael left for his appointment with a sports medicine doctor. He has been having trouble with one of his knees, and the chiro recommended them. His appointment was at 3:30 PM, and he didn’t get home until 5:30. He said his knee really hurt while the guy was working on it, but that it feels much better now than it has in months. While the quilting was going on, I also got the setting triangles cut for the newest quilt:

I was thinking of teaching another class at Scrap Happy sometime this year…a quilt that people asked me how to make when I did show and tell and also because almost everyone I’ve asked to teach a class has turned me down!! So, I started to write directions for it....then, I saw this new picture on FB that blew everything else out of my head…I just HAVE to make it!!! (SQUIRREL!!!) I’m going to make it as a QoV since that always seems to be the easiest route when I am looking to write up a new pattern. I have so many quilts in my head that I want to do…as well as so many quilt tops in the closet that I want to quilt!! I need more time in my day :~).

Michael was going by ARBY’s on the way home from his knee appointment, and they start serving their fish sandwiches in January, so that’s what we had for dinner….and they were just as yummy as I remember!

I finished quilting by 8 PM:

and headed upstairs to snuggle with my honey and watch ‘’DIAL M FOR MURDER’’, an oldie but goodie!
