I don’t know if it was the incoming weather (thunderstorms) or what, but both of my knees were KILLING me when I got up on Tuesday (7/26). Michael saw me hobbling to the bathroom, holding on to anything I could find and asked if he should run and get the cane. Anyway, we were up and out of the house early to head to the DMV to get my license renewed. I didn’t get the license that is good for flying because I didn’t have enough documentation to prove where I lived….but that doesn’t matter as I have just been using my passport when flying. The DMV was HOPPING!!! It took quite a bit of time and as we left Michael said ‘’I bet we could buy a gun in South Carolina in half the time with no documentation’’…and unfortunately…he is probably 100% right :~(.

When we got home after 10 AM I was absolutely exhausted and I headed straight to bed for a 2 hour nap. Once up I watched a bit of TV, with ice on both knees before heading downstairs to get my blog out. I got a totally unexpected and totally exciting call from BG!!!!! She happened to have a break in her day…and saw my blog email come through, so she gave me a call. They are having a FABULOUS time and she never wants to come home :~).

swung by in the late afternoon and we chatted while I got backing loaded for 2 QoV quilts:

She stayed long enough to have dinner with us (monthly crab sandwiches) before heading for home.

Wednesday (7/27) was a very quiet day…Michael left for golf after making me breakfast and Janice and I SKYPE’d in the morning. I had a PT appointment in the afternoon and my therapist was thrilled that I hit 120 degree bend without him even pushing on my leg. Michael and I split a grilled ham/cheese sandwich for dinner and relaxed in front of the TV for the rest of the night.
