Customer quilts and more customer quilts, another Get Well card

A group of psychiatrists and mental health professionals published an op-ed in The Hill, arguing that Trump exhibits a "reality-untethered, increasingly dangerous decline.”

They pointed to late-night communications, intense fixations on political enemies and a recent expletive-filled Oval Office tirade regarding Iran as signs of emotional instability or age-related cognitive changes.

Recent viral clips of Trump mishearing reporters aboard Air Force One have further fueled these concerns.

I was up early Sunday (8/9) to fire up XENA and keep her stitching away :~), and the Arrow quilt was finished:

off the frame and trimmed by early afternoon.

Then it was loading up the next HUGE customer quilt:

and working on that the rest of the day.  I really have to watch it as it is stitching out to prevent any pleats on the top, but I did manage to get the labels on the front of 2 of my quilts that I will be quilting soon:

I’ve learned that if I don’t schedule myself in for some quilts…I’ll never do any :~).

I was up early Monday morning (8/10) to get another pass done on the customer quilt before heading out to the library craft group.  Karen and I were the only 2 to show up, and it was great as we talked and talked and talked and stayed until almost NOON!  The library dog statue is ready for school:

I had an electrolysis appointment after that, and headed back to quilting when I got home and my customer quilt was done by mid-afternoon.

I loaded up yet another customer one in blue and brown batiks and got the program set up and kicked off the quilting. :

(this is the 33rd week of the year…and this will be my 65th quilt! So much for 1 per week!)

Tuesday (8/11) was more of the same…..quilting on the batik quilt, embroidering another get well card (I ended up sending the first one to a friend who took a stumble and got a hairline fracture in her ankle):

3 customer quilts were picked up and I got an extra large back pieced for 2 of my own quilts.

Michael left before 6 PM for the movies, and I spent the evening knitting.

Wednesday (8/12) was FOUST day!!!!  Pat and Sharon and Cindy and I headed out at 8:30 AM and didn’t get home again until 3:30!!!!  Of course we stopped at Carolina Cotton, and then for lunch, and then at Bush ‘n’ Vine for peaches and ice cream….and finally made it back to the parking lot.

I was exhausted by the time I got home, but got a nice pick-me-up from video chatting with Janice for a bit before dropping something off at Marvella’s house and then collapsing with dinner and TV watching!
