Michael headed out Tuesday morning (12/5) for PT for his knee, while I had a dipping day in the kitchen! I did dipped oreos:
and dipped nutter butters:
and my honey bagged up everything when he got home from PT and several errands.
I was back in my studio around 2 PM, and once again spent a lot of time on the internet. Several of my knitting students want to continue on and make a sweater. I told them that I didn’t think we could do an adult sweater in 8 weeks (and actually, it's only going to be 7 weeks at this point), but I felt they could complete a child’s sweater…and that would teach them everything they needed to know to do an adult one. I have not had any luck, despite searching a lot, at finding a free child’s sweater that has everything I want…but finally today I found two!!! One has set in sleeves, and one has raglan sleeves….and neither one is knit from the neck down (which many of the kids sweaters were….but not so much adult sweaters). I wanted to find them today so that I can go over the patterns at class tonight (someone had previously booked the library for a Christmas party last night….so our class moved to Tuesday night for this week only). When I got to class (which runs from 6 PM – 7:30 PM), I mentioned that the ISS would be going over at 6:30 and did anyone wanna go outside with me to look for it? I set an alarm on my phone, and at 6:29, we all went outside. I had no idea which direction it would be coming from…and thought I had it in my sights…but I was wrong and one of the students found it first!!! No one had ever seen it and they seemed pleased to watch.
We went back insde afterwards:
-that's Kristy, Randi, Iris and Laura (most of my students)
and finished up with only one other strange note. When we leave, I need to set the lock on the security system….but an alarm was going off. Two of us figured out how to shut it off…and I checked the bathrooms and the library to make sure I didn’t see anyone else there (the library closes and locks at 7 PM). Anyway, we got everything squared away, but as we were leaving a police car came into the parking lot….I stopped them and told them what I thought had happened, and they assured me that everything was OK. I settled in with hot chocolate when I got home (I was in the golf cart as Michael had taken the car to the movies and I was FREEZING) and soon I was snuggled up with Freya, knitting and watching TV.
And a few gratuitous pics of Freya:
-she is barely fitting in that basket in the kitchen...and is now THIRTY-FIVE pounds!!!!! Terrier mix my foot!
And, BG continues to open, and love her Advent calendar:
*** It’s that time of year again when my ‘’fat pants’’ just become pants. ***
Freya is certainly a growing girl! The Oreos and Nutter Butters look yummy!
Nice blog.... A little of everything ! Cooking, knitting, space station, and furry friends !
