I had to get up at 7 AM on Friday (8/11) to get my bike ride/shower out of the way so that we could leave by 8:15 AM for a donut shop in Rock Hill!!!
So, on Wednesday, on the way to FOUST, Darlene kept telling me about this fabulous donut shop in Rock Hill….so Michael and I decided we had to check it out:
OMG!!!!! Those donuts are TOTALLY AWESOME…..Darlene is right…..BG and I have already planned a trip when she comes down in April :~). It's called MOMO's.
We were home by 10, and had a donut and coffee/tea and then it was time to leave for my hair appointment. When I got home around NOON I had to take a nap (probably due to a sugar crash) and I got up just minutes before Connie arrived. We haven’t seen each other in FOREVER…and it was so lovely to sit around the kitchen table talking and talking and talking. After she left, I got another totally unexpected and lovely surprise…Michael told me that Jan Harmon had called just minutes after I left for my hair appointment. I called her back and we had a lovely, long talk, and we hope to get together soon.
I finally made it to my studio just after 3 PM and got my blog out and finally started to load up another customer quilt just before 5. I don’t know whether I was tired or distracted or what, but this is what I ended up with:
I'll show you what it should have looked like tomorrow….because this is very wrong :~(.

Meg2-the Trench starring Jason Statham
This is a sequel to Meg1, which you do not have to have seen to enjoy this obvious monster shark, good guys vs bad guys movie. Simple plot, simple characters, simply a fun time at the movies! A group of good scientists are exploring the ocean and trying to save what is left of its purity while some bad scientists are exploiting the ocean for valuable minerals and trying to become richer. The good guys have a Megalodon (a giant prehistoric shark in captivity from the first movie) and they are exploring the "trench" from which it came. As they are exploring, they discover another group of scientists have already set up a base at the bottom of the trench and are stripping the ocean bottom of super valuable minerals. Well, things go awry and from the trench escape 3 more very angry Megalodons to wreak havoc on the world above. Jason (our hero) and his buddies step in to save the day (no spoilers here as you KNOW that is what's going to happen.) The joy is in watching the bad guys get their due and seeing how the heroes accomplish this seemingly daunting task. And they do it in style! Again special effects (CGI) are spectacular. A really fun summer movie! 4 fat quarters out of 5.
*** I was robbed at the gas station today. I called the police and they asked if I knew who did it…..YES….I said. Pump number 6! ***
OMG!!!! The donuts look fantastic. I wish your blog had smell-a-vision and taste-a-vision! It looks like they have pecan sticky buns and apple fritters too. YUM! YUM!
