Freya, Pam, new quilt loaded on Xena

We got up at o’dark hundred Tuesday morning (1/2) grumbling the whole time about why we make these doctor’s appointments so early and vowing not to do it again! AND, it was freezing, with a heavy frost on the car windshield, so Michael had to start the outside car up early as we don’t even own a scraper anymore :~).

We were both thoroughly checked over by the dermatologist, with no suspicious spots before coming home for breakfast. Michael ate and read the paper for just a bit before heading back out for a PT appointment on his knee, and then an appointment at the FORD dealership to attach some sort of lug locks to his car rims, and then the pet store for some ‘’cookies’’ for Freya and 2 different Best Buys (looking for an adaptor to get his IPOD to play in the Mustang) and finally Harris Teeter.

Freya took full advantage of the open front door while we were eating:

I had a more leisurely amount of time to eat before heading to the studio. I will be going to Janice’s next week and would love to take along some quilts to bind (as it is always more fun to bind while I’m spending time with her, than it is to bind alone), so I loaded up a double length of backing and basted down a quilt (I forgot how much I like this quilt….LOVE the colors and the pattern):

Pam stopped by for a surprise visit in the afternoon (Arizona Mary….I hope you know I labeled that for you :~) and stayed for 2 hours!!!

-and Lucy was perfectly happy to settle down with Pam...until mom tried to take a pic:

We had a good time talking over lots and lots of stuff before she left around 5 PM.

Michael left just after 6 PM for the movies, and I finally got my program set up and kicked off the quilting. What a nightmare!!! My thread kept breaking, and my thread sensor is acting up so I had to watch the stitching to see when it broke. I was so frustrated by 8:30 PM that I just threw in the towel and headed upstairs.

And BOY...that Pat!!! When she says she wants to do something....zoop....zoop.....it's done! Her matching pillow shams for George's quilt are finished and on the bed:

Are you raising a small pony? Freya looks like she growing like a weed. Do you know how big she will get? Love your quilt!

Pam’s picture looks good! Nice shams, also! Somehow we have to convey how big freya is getting!
