Michael & Freya headed out for a walk after breakfast on Friday (4/5), while I headed to my studio. First up was getting going on quilting on the first brown quilt. It took me over an hour to get back to the right place to kick off the quilting (remember, I had done2 and a half rows of a pattern when this whole thread breaking debacle began back in January, and I took everything off of the frame. I needed to line up to finish that row and it took a lot of time and a lot of tweaking), but finally I was there and got started again:
I’ll tell you something… my heart was pounding in my throat the entire time that second half of the row was stitching out…..I don’t think I relaxed and calmed down my heart about the thread breaking until the end of the whole quilt…..I think that’s called a little longarm-ing PTSD! But finally, in the afternoon (when Michael was out running some errands and shopping at some golf stores) the quilt was done (with only 1 thread break....not sure what caused that):
I spent the rest of my sewing time finally starting to sew together my bed quilt….BG’s arrival date is getting ever closer and I seem to be moving slower and slower!!!

Although it was only 35 degrees when we got up on Saturday (4/6), Michael headed out for golf before 9 AM, but not before making me a smurfy breakfast:
I headed to the studio to load up my second quilt:
You know, when I was lying in bed this morning….I had so many quilts floating around in my head that I would like to do….I really do have to start sewing faster (or….let’s be real here….stop goofing off so much :~). I have an expandable folder beside my sewing machine….and I usually keep my ‘’top hits’’ in there, so I printed off some pictures of quilts and added them to the folder.
I spent all day quilting:
and by dinnertime, it was done:

I continued to sew together the bottom half of the bed quilt Sunday morning (4/7):
until 1 PM when it was time to leave for a matinee performance of 4 OLD BROADS at the Union County Playmakers:
We left extra early as we didn’t know where the playhouse actually was…and it’s a good thing as we drove around for 15 minutes looking for where we should park and enter the structure. The play was lo-o-o-ong….didn’t end until 5 PM, but I think we all had a good time:
-Michael tried to take a selfie....but got everyone BUT himself....
-so we asked a lady in the row in front of us to take it....there were lots of Sun City people there...Michael, me, June, Janice, Tom
We were home by 6 and had sandwiches for dinner before settling in front of the boob tube.

Good blog-- our bed quilt starting to look fabulous!!!
