HAPPY 4TH!!! Michael packed the car up for me…and after baking a Spanish Coffee cake:
I headed off to quilting….there were only 13 of us:
and I guess several of us had the same idea:
We had a FABULOUS time…..lots of fun…and we ended up sewing until 2:30 PM!!!
I got home and read my book until 5 PM, when we picked up Gale & Phil and headed up to the Lodge for burgers and dogs…and brought everything back to Gale’s house to eat and talk in air conditioned comfort :~).
We stayed and talked for a bit, then came home and read our books for the rest of the night.

I had an appointment in Ballentyne Friday morning (7/5), then stopped at Sprout’s for dried apricots and ALDI’s for a bunch of other stuff before heading home.
I had a quick breakfast before making my way to the Lodge to meet with a board member and Pam R to get answers to some questions. As always, I found them to be the voice of reason and I think Pam R got all of her questions answered as well.
I was home around 2 PM and continued to sew on a QoV I started at a retreat. Around 5 PM, Micahel and I got cleaned up and picked up Ed & Carol and went to Rizzo’s for dinner.
We laughed over our orders, because each couple ordered 1 shrimp parmesan
and 1 eggplant parmesan:
and we had a wonderful time eating and talking. It was a lovely evening with friends.
I don't think I've shown you the adorable gift Diane brought me back from Scotland....how perfect is this?

I love your knitting sheep! It looks like it is felted. We knew a craftsperson who made all types of felted animals. We used to see her at the Waterford, VA Craft Fair in October. We have several of her felted Christmas ornaments. She made the cutest things! The Italian meals look fabulous!
Is that roving and or needle punched for your little mouse or whatever. I have a friend that does that also She has made some cute things.
