Thank goodness for that extra hour in the day…we were dead to the world until 8:30 AM (which was really 9:30) on Sunday morning (11/7). We had bagels for breakfast and I finally made it to the studio around 11 AM.
I got a quick pieced black/white backing done for the “X” quilt, then dropped back to quilting on the QoV, and by the time I left for my massage at 3:30, it was done:
I still had a problem with thread breakage and I am beginning to think it is the thread, rather than anything on the machine. I am going to test that theory with the quilting on the second QoV.
I also got a few more stratas sewn and started to cut them for more 4 patches:
I got home from my massage at 5:30 and my honey was home shortly afterwards. We had too many leftovers to have puffy things for dinner, but of course we had:
to celebrate being finished with the first weekend of the play.
I have a correction....THIS is the border for Janice's jagged "X" quilt (check out those mitered corners!!):
These smaller blocks at the top are being made out of jagged 'x' leftovers for a different quilt:
