Jerri had a quilt that she wanted done on my machine, but she wanted to experience the whole process. So, she came over early on Tuesday morning (1/10). She got it all basted:
and picked out a pattern and we kicked off the quilting:
We were done by NOON:
and after she left, I spent the afternoon sewing more blocks together on the men’s quilt:
And once again, since I have 2 quilts on the to-be-bound pile, Lucy decided she needed a nap atop the pile:
Michael was busy, sorting all of my One Block Wonder blocks into color piles (with the help of 2 interested spectators):
This is truly a UFO and it has been languishing…I had decided my original plan for these blocks wouldn't work…so I set them aside, thinking that I would just use them in dialysis quilts….but I have revised my original plan and now think I have something I can turn into a queen sized quilt for the guest bedroom. I am determined to at least move it forward in 2023. I don’t know if it will be finished by the end of the year….but it will definitely be further along than piles of blocks. My problem now is that I have no idea where the 2 yards of fabric still left from the bolt are…I need that fabric to keep going with my plan, but I haven’t seen it in quite awhile and I need to find it….I may have an idea of exactly where it is….stay tuned!!
We had leftover soup for dinner (tasted better tonight:~) and Michael left for the movies and Kristin came for a visit:
Although we've texted, we haven't seen each other in over a year and it was wonderful to kick back and talk about many, many things.
My honey was home from the movies before 10 PM, and we watched a bit of TV before bed.
I ended up with far too much of this fabric, and am selling it for what I paid FOUST for it....it is a metallic and is $7.00 per yard. For those SHQ people reading this...I will have it at SHQ this week so that you can see it in person. If you are interested, come and see me:
