I headed out early to my appointment with the gastro doc in Charlotte on Tuesday (9/27). I was really looking forward to this meeting as he explained symptoms I have been having for a couple of decades! Nothing at all life threatening, but they don’t feel like that when they are happening. I really like this doctor…he’s the one who also found that I had H Pylori in my tummy…the bacteria that causes ulcers…and was also (he is sure) what caused my anemia, and since he treated it, my iron is coming back up.
I was finally in my studio by 1 PM and began loading up my last customer quilt. My customer wants the quilt centered on the backing…so that took a bit of doing, but finally it was done. I got batting cut and the top laid on:
but that was as far as I got on that (which turned out to be a good thing. As I was lying in bed not sleeping overnight, I figured out that I left too much batting at the top of the quilt and would run out by the bottom...so I gotta fix that!) I did get another quilt cut:
for the QoV pattern that Janice quilted when she and Dennis came for the play. I LOVED her design and just HAVE to start it :~). I think I have MORE THAN ENOUGH work to keep me occupied while at her house (and maybe even get me though the 2 day retreat for Scrap Happy, coming up later in October)….especially considering that we are taking a trip to a quilt shop owned by a woman that I sewed with every Tuesday night in Connecticut for 16
years :~).
Angie & Kevin stopped by for a quick visit...and Cookie couldn't get enough lovin' from Kevin:
Michael and I had crab sandwiches for dinner, then he left for the movies and I settled in with knitting…I got a skein wound:
for a quick ruana I hope to make for me!
Pat's going to be in the craft fair in November and she sent pictures of just some of the items she'll be selling:

Who owns quilt shop?
