LAFF Retreat 2024

Pam and I took off at 8 AM Friday (5/17) to head to Hillsboro for the LAFF retreat (Laura & Food Friends!)  We laughed and talked the entire way there….it was great and a very pleasant drive. 

June & Floy were already there when we arrived…and Laura, Denise & Linda showed up shortly afterwards. 

What can I say….I had a wonderful time with these ladies and was very glad to have been invited!  For some reason, I got the idea to take along 6 white elephant gifts (things I already had in my house)….and play the ‘’stealing’’ game….it turned out to be a big hit, and everyone seemed to like their gifts: 

-June, opening the pillow...which I'm happy to say was a ''hot'' item!!

-Linda, the ultimate winner of the pillow, after several steals

-Denise with a pack of new needles

-Floy with her pewter, snowflake necklace...which I think she really liked as she wore it every day after that

We had FABULOUS meals, which I didn’t really get pictures of….just some random samples of food:

and we were all incredibly productive:

We had a fun visit to Hillsboro one afternoon:

We had silly discussions....and serious discussions....

and we were all home by 4 PM on Tuesday and I basically laid on the couch and watched TV for the rest of the day and night. 

My honey headed out to the movies, and when he got home before 10 PM, I went to bed.  He said I didn’t move the entire night…that’s how tired I was!

She has an electric blender, electric toaster and electric bread maker. She said "There are too many gadgets, and no place to sit down!" So I bought her an electric chair. ***
