Lemon Creme Bars, Cookie, quilt show pattern

Michael left before 9 AM on Wednesday morning (3/8) for golf here at SCCL, while I spent some time in the morning finally starting to pull our taxes together :~(. I had a consult on a (hopefully) future quilt for longarmming, and also got another pan of lemon crème bars made (this time I doubled the recipe):

I think I might have to tweak this recipe…..I’ve already tweaked the filling, but I think the crust is too thick….we’ll see when I cut these and then I’ll decide what I might need to cut down.

I headed out at NOON to see a new chiropractor in uptown Charlotte….he is totally different from any I’ve been to in the past…and I swear he found every sore spot on my back that there was to find! I stopped to visit with Susan on the way home, and was finally home by 5 PM. My honey was VERY excited about golf….he had a score of 83….and a birdie!!!

I had a quick dinner of Mexican Chicken soup and then spent a couple of hours sewing on the:

I know, I know....it's a very boring blog when I'm working on a secret project....especially when I am busy or out most of the day and am not working on anything else!

When I went upstairs after 8 PM to join my honey, my nutty dog was in her favorite position:

Squished behind dad on the sofa while he works on drawing a new card....what a nut!

Here’s one of the things I bought at the Charlotte Quilt Show….the pattern is on the left and the quilt she made from this pattern was hanging in the booth (and is on the right below):

I never would have bought the pattern based on the layout on the front of the pattern…but I LOVED the quilt! So, I printed a picture of the quilt and slipped it into the pattern envelope so that eventually, when I re-see it, I’ll remember why I bought it! The woman said it is the same block, just a different layout…and there are 4 different layouts in the pattern. I really enjoyed talking with this woman as ALL of the patterns in her booth were created by her, and they were all wonderful. I also bought a new QoV pattern….pictures of it tomorrow.
