I was still not 100% when I got up on Saturday (1/8), but I was WORLD’s better than Friday morning…so that was good! It was time to push on…my honey’s golfing got delayed…so I got breakfast delivered before he left:
And I continued to work on getting my rainbow batik quilt cleaned up and off of the frame and on the to-be-bound pile:
I wanted to make the binding right away, but I have to rip stitching out of the reclaimed backing fabric to have enough…and I usually do that while watching TV in the evening….so I set that aside and dropped back to the men’s quilt….OMG!!! I had the WORST time trying to lay that block out! After numerous texts and incorrect pictures:
-still wrong
back and forth to BG, she finally called me and talked me through it and I finally got it right:
I spent the rest of the afternoon working on my stratas:
While I was on the phone with BG, I had a visitor in the backyard:
Just moseying along and munching!
My honey came home with an 87 today, but he said Phil was putting ‘’lights out’’….when I asked what that meant, he said he thought in the first 6 holes…Phil had 5 one putts! I got the backing of my customer quilt loaded up just before dinner:
And spent the evening watching TV and ripping stitches out of my backing fabric.
OMgoodness!!!! Remember the funny yesterday that I put in just for my friend Anne? Well, she called me around NOON…laughing so hard that she couldn’t even talk!!!!! She laughed and laughed and laughed and got me laughing!!! It is wonderful to be able to do that for someone! She said she was going to send to all of her friends in Boston. And Arizona Mary must know some Bostonians….as she thought the khaki joke was funny as well!
AND, Arizona Mary is working on the same kind of quilt I am....what are the odds? Look at her blocks on the left:
*** I ate too much salad over the weekend....so I'm going to do an Oreo cleanse today. ***
*** When I was 18 I used to touch my toes twenty times each morning….these days I have a cup of coffee and just wave at them. ***
