Men's top done

********************************

So, we woke up Monday morning (1/17) to more sleet overnight…and no newspaper. I’m sure many people called the paper to complain…I on the other hand, would like to call and say ‘’I am glad our carrier did not risk life and limb to get us our paper’’!! Since Michael had fresh bread (the first I've made in a long, long time), he made perfect gas housers for breakfast:

The roads were still icy until around 11 AM when the sun and temps in the low 40's had gotten rid of most of it.

I got my men's rows sewn together in the afternoon:

And then started to work on borders….by the time we went upstairs for a late dinner (my honey made tortellinis), while I put together meat loaf for tomorrow:

I had both borders on and I am thrilled with how it turned out. To think….all of the colored strips and the outer border were leftovers:

What do you think???

I came back to the studio after dinner just to make a binding:

Are you guys watching ''AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS''? Michael and I thought the first episode moved a little slowly, but we watched episodes 2 & 3 yesterday and really enjoyed them.

Great job. I wouldn't like sewing those triangles together though.

LOVE the new men's quilt!! I think that pattern will definitely be in my project box for next retreat. And did I hear you say you used LEFTOVER SCRAPS from previous projects? 😉
