Quilting done on my 2 quilts, Arizona Mary projects

Michael headed out early on Monday (3/11) for blood work, a visit to the Ford dealership, breakfast out and a bunch of other stops. I got batting cut and my second quilt (curvy rectangles) laid on:

before leaving for a massage, and a visit to Hobby Lobby. The massage was heaven (seems like forever since I’ve been there) and I found ribbon (for an upcoming bow class) and greenery (for my second and hopefully final wreath class) before getting home at 1 PM.

I spent the afternoon loading the second quilt:

and getting the pattern set up and kicked off:

before SKYPE-ing with BG in the later afternoon….we had lots to talk about, but I finally had to quit talking and head upstairs at 6 PM to help out one of my knitting students.

Michael had a basketball game to watch (YAY UCONN …Big East Champions!!!) so I stayed downstairs quilting and was finished:

before I headed upstairs around 9 PM.

Check out Arizona Mary’s Easter basket for her granddaughter:

and her newest mountain quilt:

Michael left for golf early Tuesday morning (3/12), while I headed to the studio. I knew it would take awhile to get both of my quilts cleaned up, trimmed and on the to-be-bound pile, but by 2 PM I was done:

I also put up all of my focus fabric on the wall for the new bed quilt:

This is the way I think I want it to look, but that means I need 7-1/2 more blocks out of focus fabric....and that means I would need about 60 more inches of focus fabric...and I'm not sure I have that....I'll have to check.

Then it was loading up my next customer quilt…from Sandy D:

Those are 1-1/2'' squares...and this quilt is HUGE!!!! I cannot imagine how long it took to find all of those scraps....cut them...and sew them all together!

Michael took off for the movies around 6 PM, so I starting quilting on Sandy’s quilt.
