It was a beautiful, clear morning when we got up on Friday (10/21), but there was lots of frost on the ground…guess winter really is coming! You know, last night I was thinking about it and I really feel like I’m finally getting back to my old self…and getting my energy back. I think I can tell just from the baking I’ve been doing…something I haven’t felt like doing for quite a long time….it is a great feeling!
I headed to the studio to pin the other side of my backing: and to get batting cut and my first quilt basted:
This quilt turned out much bigger than I like my dialysis quilts to be, so even though 4-1/2’’ HST’s are my preferred size, I think I’m gonna remake it with 3-1/2’’ HST’s and see how that finished size works out. I really liked this quilt when I first made it, but was thinking it looked really boring when I was basting it…what do you guys think? Are all of my ‘’blue and white’’ quilts going to look blah?
I left in the early afternoon for a massage…..ah…..HEAVEN!!! And when I got home after 3 PM, I went back to quilting:
We finally had dinner around 6:30 PM and cleaned up the leftover pizza….as well as some Praline Buttermilk cake for dessert :~).
*** Once I discovered quilting…I forgot how to cook….and clean….and do laundry…and grocery shop…and feed the pets…..AND that I had a family :~). ***
With all those shades of blue and the wonderful quilting, I don't think it's boring at all !
I think the smaller squiggles will be nice
