Wednesday morning (11/23) was SKYPE-ing with Janice, then a quick shower and a trip to get my hair done. I got home around 1 PM and I started to load up the second SHQ quilt:
But once again…done by someone who didn’t know how to measure their borders :~(….this is not gonna be fun. Luckily, Paula came by for a nice long visit/chat, and after that, Michael and I wrapped our outside tree with white lights (it was a gorgeous, warm day) and so I got to procrastinate long enough that I didn’t have to baste the quilt :~).
We had sage/butternut squash raviolis for dinner….I made a bit more parmesan cream sauce and we had some grape tomatoes that needed to be used up, so we just cut them in half and added them to our bowls.
Then we just snuggled and watched TV until bed.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Michael made breakfast for both of us (egg sandwich for me:
and leftover waffles and potatoes for him) before I headed to the studio.
I got the second SHQ quilt basted:
wound bobbins, and set up and kicked off the program:
I worked on that the rest of the day, and by 4 PM, it was done:
I headed upstairs to pull together our Thanksgiving meal. Janice made a chicken pot pie on retreat that was delicious, so I decided to make a few tweaks, and that was our dinner:
Of course we also had to have a special dessert, so I made a new one....a Pecan Pie upsidedown cake:
Michael proclaimed everything delicious and we had a wonderful evening, sipping our champagne
and watching an old, old and funny movie with Roberts Morse and Goulet!
And a bit of nostalgia from 5 years ago: http://foodandfiberfloozie.blogspot.com/2017/11/happy-thanksgiving.html

How did the mushrooms and other tweaks taste in the pot pie? As soon as you mentioned them, I thought they would be good. Let me know what you did so I can update my recipe!😀
