Michael headed out for golf Saturday (12/18) and I headed to the studio. Loree wanted some labels for Scrap Happy, so I worked on a bunch of those:
and I had to keep my eye on them as my thread kept shredding. I got 9 labels done and just have one more set of 3 before I am finished.
The rest of the day I spent on making bindings….I finally got all of my lavender fabric re-claimed, and ironed and cut into strips and sewn together and pressed once more:
Then I made black binding for the kitty quilt (as requested by the customer):
You can see how much more lavender binding I made:
as I have 2 quilts to complete with it.
Michael and I had soup for dinner, then headed out into the neighborhoods to enjoy many Christmas lights displays:
When we came home, he made popcorn and we settled in for the last 2 episodes of MAGPIE MURDERS ….. OH…..MY….GOODNESS!!! What an EXCELLENT show!!!!!

I had 3 things on my agenda on Sunday (12/18), totally finishing the kitty quilt (which must be delivered on Thursday), was first on my list. I got the quilt trimmed (with my trusty hand held vacuum nearby as this fleece throws off tons of little pieces) and got a label made:
and set up my machine in the kitchen. Susan came over for a visit and we talked for TWO HOURS!!!!! We always have so much to talk and laugh about…it was wonderful!! I got back to the binding after that, and by dinnertime I had it on the first side:
We had a chicken/noodle casserole for dinner and I got the second side of the binding done for a totally finished quilt:
The second thing on the list was attending a concert up at the Lodge:
It was advertised as MOTOWN and it was….but it was Motown Reimagined….and the reimagining was to jazz :~(. Oh well, Michael enjoyed the concert a lot :~).
We read when we got home before heading to bed. I never did get my cookies made (the third thing)...so I'll have to jump up early tomorrow and get busy.
*** I don’t care about my Prince Charming….where are the forest animals that clean??? ***
*** When I was a kid, bedtime was 9 PM. I couldn’t wait to be a grownup so I could go to bed anytime I wanted…..turns out that is 9 PM. ***
Great light show! Good video!!
