I didn’t have a very good night Friday night. I think I did a LOT of walking/standing/stair climbing during the day, and not enough icing of my knee, so at bedtime I took some IBUPROFEN... at 2 AM I had a tylenol and laid with an ice pack for awhile, and at 5 AM I finally tried one of my full strength pain pills….but nothing put me to sleep, or took away the ache in my leg. So, I was moving kinda slowly Saturday morning (8/6).
Michael made breakfast and headed out for errands (to pick up his newly re-gripped golf clubs, and CVS and the grocery store), but not before getting some pics of the workers ripping up our buckled sidewalk:
Eventually, I headed downstairs to get my blog out. Once that was done, the sky looked clear, so I fired up XENA to continue quilting. I got to talk to Mary Lee in the afternoon and her schedule has freed up a bit…and she may be coming for a visit next Monday…..YAYAYAYAY!!!!!!!!
I got another QoV label done:
for the second QoV on Xena…and I was going great guns on the quilting when the thunder rolled in before 3 PM and I had to quickly shut everything down :~(.
By 5 PM the thunder seemed to have passed, so I fired up Xena again and by the time Michael and I left for dinner, the quilting on the second quilt was done as well:
The princess (on her tower of quilts) was with me all afternoon:
Ralph & Candyce:
invited us over for dinner…which was scrumptious…..but the conversation was even better. It will be sad to see them go….Ralph will be leaving next weekend, and Candyce is staying behind just a few days to finalize closing and packing of the house.
We were home around 10 PM and I definitely needed a pain pill and ice pack on my knee…I have been using my bad leg to go up and down the stairs…and it is definitely getting stronger…but with that growth comes the pain of building/straining muscles. So, we sat and read for over an hour before bed.
*** I just released my own fragrance! Nobody in the car seemed to like it :~(. ***
Are the tree roots Making the sidewalk buckle?
Great movie of the workers!
