Striped top almost done

Michael was up and out early for routine blood work on Friday (9/23), then he swung back home to pick me up for some shopping. We hit ALDI’s and spent 77 bucks on stuff…then the Dollar Store for tissue paper/ribbon/labels (for cast gifts)…and finally WENDY’s for breakfast.

We got home at 11 AM, and after getting my blog out, I got bobbins wound and set up the quilting program and kicked off quilting:

It’s kind of hard to see on the top of the quilt…which in my opinion is what you want when you have pictures on the quilt, so I took a picture of my computer stitch out so that you could see the pattern called ‘’doves and hearts’’:

Sandy stopped by to pick up her quilt and we got to talking about GMAIL….and I’m once again glad that even though people urged me to move to GMAIL when it first came out, I never switched from AOL. I know AOL is old, but it doesn’t sort my emails into various categories (just inbox and spam), so I don’t have to go looking through all of the tabs to find the email I want. Sandy didn’t think she saw the email explaining about the quilt we are doing for one of our members…that’s probably because I did REPLY ALL, so GMAIL probably thought it was SPAM because it went back to about 32 people. I came downstairs and sent it to her separately so that she had the info.

While my customer quilt was stitching out, I continued to sew together the rows on my striped quilt, and it was done before I left for my massage in the later afternoon:

I still need skinny green borders on the sides, and then a larger striped border to get to the size I want….and then the top will be totally done!

We had leftover Chinese for dinner before leaving at 6 PM for the theatre. We had a small audience…but a great one….so everyone was buoyed up by the time we left. We watched a bit of TV when we got home and headed to bed around mid-night.

*** THINGS WE LEARNED FROM THE MOVIES:

-don’t build a dinosaur park

-don’t try to build a second dinosaur park

-don’t take an aerial tour of a dinosaur park

-don’t engineer bigger dinosaurs and invited a bunch of family

to your dinosaur park

- don’t build your dinosaur park on top of a volcano ***

Maybe we could get a cast picture for your blog tonight or tomorrow, on stage?
