Michael bought bagels at the new bagel store down in the PUBLIX shopping center, so that’s what we had for breakfast on Saturday (11/20). He headed downstairs after and inbetween getting through his emails...he started to layout the 4-patch blocks:

I'm glad I didn't tell him what I had in mind for a layout, because this is TOTALLY different :~).

I got my blog out and then headed back upstairs to start to put the binding on the second side of the second QoV:

When that was finished (thanks to Paula sewing the label down on Firday night) I had another TOTALLY FINISHED QUILT:

I must have liked this pattern when I first saw it….but once it was finished it really didn’t do anything for me and I doubt I will make it again. Luckily I can do that because my initial goal…to have 5 easy QoV patterns that I could make over and over again each year, I have surpassed….I now have 14 patterns…so I can drop a few of the ones I’m not that crazy about. PLUS, it seems like I find 1 or 2 new ones each year.

When that was finished, I headed downstairs to clean up the 3rd QoV and get it off of my frame (this is the one that was FULL of thread breakage, so I had a LOT of ends to bury). This is the first time I’ve made a Disappearing 9 Patch QoV (thanks to seeing a quilt of Janice’s that inspired it) and I think I really like it and will definitely do it again.

Michael left at 1:30 PM for a matinee performance (and a subsequent evening performance)…and I headed back upstairs to start the binding on the 3rd quilt. Cookie decided to nap all afternoon right beside me, in her bed:

I got the binding on the first side of the 3rd quilt just before dinner. I had emailed Jerri to tell her that I had 2 quilts totally done…and was working on a third so that she had a choice…but if she wanted to come and just pick up the first 2 she could…so she came at dinner time and was so very grateful to get them….I can’t wait until she gives them out. She does so much for others, it was a pleasure to help her out in this way.

I had a quick dinner, then Michael called from the theatre. He took a group of people there outside, and I headed outside at home…and we all watched the International Space Station fly overhead. Then it was back to the kitchen, to make and bake up the shells for the lemon cookies:

and more peanut butter cookies (that they went crazy for when I sent them in a week ago):

for the cast party. I sat down 2 minutes ahead of Michael coming home after 10 PM….we were both beat!

Janice has finished the top of her Jagged "X" quilt...it is SO BEAUTIFUL!!! This will be going to her neice for a Christmas gift:

*** Your call is very important to us…..please enjoy this 40 minute flute solo! ***
