We got to sleep in on Friday (8/19) and that was lovely…and we had a very relaxed breakfast for over an hour before finally starting our day.
Michael spent several times each day going over his lines, and I did some knitting before going back to binding on the latest quilt. Sandy D stopped by to drop off a quilt and we got to visit for awhile, so that was nice. She has basset hounds…and they are a bit too big to be lap dogs….so she always likes to snuggle Cookie when she comes:
When she left I headed downstairs to get my binding pressed, and then stitched it down on the second side:
with Ethel waiting in the wings for some lovin':
I got a text from my friend Loree in the late afternoon; her hubby Reg was being transferred to Pineville Hospital with some cardiac issues….so please add them to your prayer lists!
We finished up leftovers for dinner and after stitching down the label…guess what? Another TFQ (totally finished quilt!):
And now…..show & tell from Arizona Mary:
-I LOVE how perfectly those placemats match the plates...and I WANT those plates....so very gorgeous!!!
AND, I found this picture (I don’t know how long it’s been on my phone)….this is my college roomie Debbie….look at the size of that pretzel:
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it when people are inspired by the blog...whether it's wanting to make a quilt I have made....or cooking/baking some dish......June made the one pot pasta...although like all good cooks, she tweaked it for her own tastes:
*** I DID A PUSH-UP TODAY!! Well, actually I feel down, BUT I had to use my arms to get back up, so….close enough. NOW I NEED CHOCOLATE! ***
That picture was taken 7/28/22 at a golf course restaurant in Hanover, PA. By the way, the pretzel was fantastic and was complimented by a beer cheese sauce and whole grain mustard. Yummy!! There were three of us eating it.
Now I know who kruegeml1 is !!
G eat job on the placemats. The gray, black and white print looks like it was in your AZ Mary quilt that Deb is going to make along with the fiber Floozies.
Full disclosure, the picture with the pretty plates was the picture from Pinterest that I used as my inspiration. ☺️ I sent that along to show how close I got to match theirs. The plates are pretty though 😂
