Michael left for an early morning doctor’s appointment on Tuesday (3/19); it was just a follow-up to changes in his blood pressure medication. Then he was off to CVS, the chiro, and PT for his knee.
I spent the morning getting started cleaning up Sandy’s quilt, and got everything but the trimming done by the time I left for weaving.
What a great group….we talked about everything from new, great dresses for traveling to teaching illiterate adults to read to weaving cloth to make clothing….it was GREAT!!! And with a little bit of show and tell besides:
When I finally made it home, my honey and I had crab sandwiches from the crab truck before he left for the movies, and I completed the trimming on Sandy’s quilt.
And yes….to clarify the situation from yesterday….my neighbor wants me to finish the quilts….and mail them back to her…she made sure to tell me she would be contacting me with her new address….and the response from everyone who texted, emailed and commented on the blog was a resounding NO….unless I got paid :~). Thanks for weighing in and letting me know I wasn’t crazy for thinking it!!

Wednesday morning (3/20) Michael left for golf (but not before making breakfast for me!) and I SKYPE-d with Janice. And I am so very grateful that Diane arrived just as I was finishing up with Janice, and helped me to go through all of the fabric from my neighbor. We created about 5 piles of stuff for different people, and she ended up only taking home 1 tiny piece for herself!! I am hoping to get rid of everything on Thursday. In the meantime, I have put the 2 neighbor’s quilts onto the shelf in my ‘’flimsies’’ cupboard downstairs and am adopting a wait and see attitude before I even ask anyone else about finishing them.
I read a bit in the afternoon….I am reading Barbra Streisand’s autobiography and it is excellent….but it is a thick book with small print, and of course, 2 other books I’ve had on hold for over 4 months decided to also appear :~).
Michael’s movie friend Larry invited us to an open house at the complex where he lives…they had appetizers and desserts and music and dancing. The food was out of this world, but the best part was seeing an old friend. When we first got there, and were looking for our friend Larry, I saw Mary C (a Thursday quilter), that I didn’t know had moved in. She lost her honey late last year and seems to be doing very well, making friends and keeping her spirits up.
We were home by 6:30 and I made a start on my next customer quilt….getting the back half loaded on before I ran out of steam and headed upstairs to veg.

Glad to hear Mary is doing so well at Greenway! It’s beautiful there & the Chef is amazing.
How did she do that scarf. Its lovely.
Weavers are so creative!
