Please don’t be afraid to tell me you didn’t get a blog….it’s only because three people told me they didn’t get the blog, that I realized I only sent it to Michael on Monday…and not to my blog distribution list….so thank you to those people (Connie, Gee, Loree!!!) Mary Jo used to tell me, but I think she now gets notified directly from the blog!

Michael wanted waffles for breakfast on Monday (8/28) so that’s what we did:
the only problem with this is that I will think it is Sunday…and will be off on all of the rest of the days of the week! We both stayed at the table a long time…reading the paper and a library book, but eventually Michael headed to the grocery store, and I headed to the studio. I got a project put together for Thursday quilting:
and played with Freya in between trimming the Asian quilt.

I spent the entire day on Tuesday (8/29), reading!!! Arizona Mary asked me about a book called THE THURSDAY MURDER CLUB. I was almost sure I had read it, but I ordered it again from the library, along with the next 2 books in the series. I re-read the first book, and remembered most of it…but Tuesday I settled in to the read the second THE MAN WHO DIED TWICE…and liked it much, much better. Not so many bodies and a more straight forward story. The author is Richard Osman…..I’m really looking forward to book #3. Speaking of Arizona Mary....she's been busy in the kitchen lately. She made the Oatmeal/Jam bars with Apricot Jam:
and a peanut butter/oreo ice box cake:
We made pizzas for dinner:
-I love that little drizzle of balsamic at the end...
and then Michael headed out to the movies with Larry, and I spent the evening playing with Freya.

I did a bike ride Wednesday morning (8/30) while Michael and Freya were taking a walk, then I took a quick shower and SKYPE’d with Janice. My honey brought me a super breakfast:
after he finished with his omelet. I finished SKYPE_ing and had time to start cutting a QoV for our retreat:
before leaving for a doctor’s appointment for Michael. He’s been having a lot of pain in his chest from the falls, and after sending a message about it to the doctor, they wanted to check him out. He dropped me off at home afterwards and continued on to do some errands (LOWE’s, CVS, Harris Teeter), and I continued to cut.
Why am I taking a picture of my chair?:
Look closer:
I finished up cutting the whole quilt top by dinnertime, when my honey made pierogi’s:
I know they never look like much…but they taste like heaven!
More gratuitous puppy pics and videos:
*** Sometimes I shock myself with the smart stuff I say and do…then there are the times when I try to get out of the car with my seatbelt on. ***
*** I got myself a senior’s GPS…not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there. ***
They continue to be the best waffles ever!
We had a Lamb Chop or should say we still have it. I think it was a favorite until Dusty figured out that a whole in the seam meant he could get all the stuffing out of it. I stitched it up a couple times but now it is deflated and missing the ears but he still carries it around. I am through picking up stuffing all over the house.
Freya is a hoot to watch! She looks like she is half the size of the stuffed Lamb Chop. It looks like she loves her naps!
