I SKYPE’d with Janice Wednesday morning (5/8), and then went back to work on Sandy’s quilt. I kept quilting until 3:30 PM, when I shut down and unplugged my machine as a thunderstorm was moving in. By 5 PM it looked like November...it was SO DARK!!! I just continued to cut strips for HST’s for my retreat next week….as well as strips for a quilt at Fiber Floozies:
By the time the storm had fully passed, Michael headed out for Chinese for dinner and we had a lovely time eating and watching TV…there are lots of our shows coming to an end this week and next.
Book Recommendation: THE MAID by Nita Prose…I could hardly put this book down…..AWESOME story…..available in the library....

Michael packed the car for me Thursday morning (5/9) and I headed off to quilting. I got a lot done on my QoV, and saw some beautiful show and tell:
-Loree taught a class on what we all call ''the Loree quilt''
-and some of her students showed off their blocks
-and Laura L is selling raffle tickets for the quilt below....see her for tix
I ran several errands in Waxhaw on the way home, and made it home in time to go to a meeting on quilting at a friend’s house. She is looking for quilts for a new project, and Janice and I might have exactly what she needs.
Michael and I had leftover Chinese for dinner and I knit away the rest of the evening.
And gratuitous kitty pics....any time you open a drawer, it must be explored:
*** Pub crawls are all the rage, but I truly feel that the idea of a bakery crawl has a lot of potential. ***
Yes, yes !! A bakery crawl 😁
All of the quilts are simply FABULOUS! I especially loved the one with all of the shades of purple and Loree's quilt. Great job ladies!
All pictures look great!!
