Yoghurt, bread, layout started on OBW

I made yoghurt in the crockpot overnight, so I got that packaged up in grab-and-go containers for Michael:

before heading to the studio. And even though it was only 39 degrees Saturday morning (1/14), Michael headed out to golf at 9 AM.

I thought you’d like to see where my sorted OBW blocks are being stored while I work on the layout...as long as the piles are low enough, it's the perfect place!:

And here’s the layout so far:

I kicked off the quilting on Sandy’s quilt:

and that’s what I worked on until 12:30 PM when I headed over to Pam’s. My honey came home right as I was leaving and said he was crazy for going golfing as the wind never stopped and he was FROZEN!!! He said all of them quit after just 9 holes.

So Pam, Rosalie and I met to try to get a better handle on what we want the Fiber Nutz group to be. We don’t want to have just another knitting group, as there are already 2 knitting groups in Sun City. We worked on a mission statement of sorts and will be presenting our thoughts at our January meeting…and then we’ll go from there as far as who may join and what their responsibilities will be to the group.

I was home by 4 PM and went back to quilting on Sandy’s quilt. I was over half way done by the time I stopped at 7 PM for a late dinner and snuggling with my honey!

***********************************************************

I spent Sunday morning (1/15) upstairs, SKYPE-ing with AJ and making bread:

-we always make one of the loaves like this, so that it is easy to split and give away to a neighbor

I haven’t made Michael cinnamon bread in forever, so that’s what I made for the second loaf:

By the time he got home from delivering half of the regular loaf of bread to a neighbor, the cinnamon bread had cooled enough to eat…..YUM!!

I spent the afternoon quilting Sandy’s quilt and got it all done and cleaned up and off of the frame. I decided I needed to get the design wall cleaned off, so I sewed together the first half of the newest QoV quilt...I love it already...I haven't made pinwheels in forever:

Michael came down in the late afternoon, so of course, everyone was there:

And then this got started:

We had leftover soup for dinner and watched another GREAT BRITISH BAKING SHOW in the evening.

*** Why yes, I do have flabby thighs....luckily my stomach covers them. ***

*** At first I thought I had COVID because I couldn’t breathe….then I unbuttoned my pants and it was all OK. ***

It’s amazing how 3D that quilt looks. The square blocks just disappear! Love it!
