I put Michael's overnight yoghurt into containers Tuesday morning (1/9):
before setting my honey up with ice on his ankle and heading to the basement. It is another rainy, dreary day….with high, high winds predicted for this afternoon. I had counted up the $$ in my longarm fund, and spent a lot of time buying things on AMAZON from the teacher’s wish lists from Clinton School. It would have been a thoroughly enjoyable experience, except for an error on my last order. It is almost impossible to talk to a real human being to fix things!!! First….it takes jumping through hoops to even find where you can have an internet ‘’chat’’ with someone. Then, the ‘’person’’ you start out talking to is definitely AI (artificial intelligence) of some kind…..finally you get a real person. She asked me for the name of the item I was having a problem with….I said ''NO….I have 66 items in my cart!!!! It is happening during checkout of all of those items.'' I started my ‘’chat’’ at 12:28 PM….and during the chat, one suggestion was try to buy just one item…but I told them I’d have to delete 65 items first…..and then re-find them…and I didn’t wanna do that!!! We were finally finished (with success) at 1:42 PM. So, I am finally done with funding 3 teachers wish lists…and that makes me feel very good indeed!
After that I turned back to my quilt….I got the 5th blocks in each row added, and the purple sashing on the outside of each row:
and as you can see from the pictures below….while I was sleeping last night, my brain figured out what I did wrong with my cornerstone measurements ( I was a totally booby head!!) :
Based on the weather forecast for today, my honey had already cancelled his movie outing, so we watched MOONSTRUCK together instead, as he had never seen it.
In case you couldn’t tell from reading this…..Michael basically took care of himself totally today….he said he was getting bored doing nothing…and his foot doesn’t hurt….and he too likes to be productive…..so he started another ‘’find the differences’’ picture for AJ :~). He is being a GREAT patient!

I did a bunch of paper work Wednesday morning (1/10) before leaving for my spine PT appointment. This was the first time I saw Tracye since I gave her the lime green quilt…and she went on and on about it…it was very nice :~).
I finished up my appointment and then had a delightful, almost 2 hour lunch with Diane at Bahn Thai:
We haven’t seen each other in so long…we had a lot to get caught up on. I did a few errands on the way home and spent the rest of the afternoon starting to sew on my cornerstone sashing.
And Leila is ''on the board'' with the first completed project of 2024:
Many people have commented that they love the ''blasts from the past''....so I'll try to do them more often.

What was the Amazon problem ? Seems like you could have reselected 66 items in less than 1 hour and 15 minutes ! But I guess you still wouldn't know the problem on checkout. I'm sure they'll be appreciated by not only 3 teachers, but all their students as well.
LOVE the cornerstones!! Great job.
Missed you this week, then absent again next week due to spinal injection. 😭
The cornerstones DEFINITELY add a nice touch to your quilt. I hope you agree they were worth the extra work...🙂
