We had a wonderful and relaxing Sunday morning (10/30) with my honey’s killer fried potatoes:
bacon:
and pecan pancakes:
Everything was YUMM - O!!
As usual, my honey cleaned up the kitchen after breakfast, while I headed to the studio to start to load up another couple of my quilt tops. It is so nice not having any customer quilts right now (and today is my deadline for taking in quilts that have to be quilted by Christmas! If I get a call for one after this, intake will be determined on a case by case basis..meaning, if I have time in between the candy making and cookie baking :~).
Anyway, I pulled out 2 tops that I swear I made before the pandemic, and got the backing, batting and one quilt loaded up:
(Linda…what a surprise….rainbow butterflies again:~):
But, I'm labeling these my ''religious'' quilts due to the embroidered sayings. I set up the quilting program, but by then it was 5 PM and I was tired…it’s never a good idea for me to start something when I’m tired, so I shut everything down at that point.
During the afternoon I also continued to sew my blocks into rows:
Michael and I had leftover manicotti for dinner, then played several games of BIG BOGGLE (where he totally dominated) before settling in with some TV.
And I have to apologize to readers...and to my honey....this review got buried in my in-box:
*** MMR – Michael’s Movie Reviews ***
The final installment of the Jurassic Park movies hit the screens a couple of weeks ago and it is a fitting recap and nostalgic look back at all the Jurassic movies of the past.
Oldies from the original are brought back, Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, to reprise their roles as scientists trying to figure out if humans and dinosaurs can live together. Chris Platt, hero from recent iterations, is back to “control “ these new beasts which have been unleashed on the world by Campbell Scott, the villain of the movie.
Of course, great special effects dominate dominion and ( spoiler alert ) all the good guys survive and the villain is defeated. Good clean fun ( with some blood ).
I give it 3 fat quarters out of 5.
*** Getting another set of teeth at age 60 would be so much more useful than age 6. ***
Great review!
