*** First, I need to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who left me comments, or sent me emails! You really made my day...thank you!! ***
We were up early Sunday (5/14); Michael had leftover waffles and potatoes and bacon from our big ‘’fry-up’’ while Mary Jo was here, and I had raspberries and yoghurt. I headed to the studio after that to work on a blog post and publish it successfully….hooray!!!
After that I worked on my 4 patch:
and after sewing the extra blocks I needed, I worked on sewing my blocks into rows. I did that until 3 PM when I headed to IVY PLACE to see Pam & Rosalie doing a spinning demo for part of the AG & ART tour (sorry, forgot to take phone, so no pics….it’s gonna take some effort to get back into the writing and picture taking blogging groove :~). I told them if they wanted a knitter or weaver to sit in with them next year….I would be willing.
By the time I got it home, it was leftover Chinese for dinner, and I continued to sew until around 8 PM, sewing the 4 patches into rows, and adding an inside border:
Mary Jo and I found the perfect fabric for a binding, but neither one of us liked it for a border, so she suggested the white border between the small and large 4 patches...and it will be perfect!
We spent the evening watching a special for Carol Burnett’s 90th birthday and that was wonderful.

Another thing you missed while the blog was down, I went on my annual QUAP retreat during the last week in April. Let’s meet the participants:
Andie (Pat's daughter) from New Mexico
-Arizona Mary from (you guessed it) Arizona!
Janice from North Carolina
Pat from South Carolina
Nancy from Chicago (and North Carolina in the winter)
Jan from Arizona
Abby (Nancy's sister) from Chicago
And introducing.....BG!!!!! attending for the first time....
We were at PLACE OF GRACE in Tennessee, a place built specifically for quilters and crafters....it's a wonderful place.
We were incredibly productive during the week we were there:
Yes...BG and I did the same quilt, Jerri's striped fabric quilt, and we did it out of the same fabric. Janice did the quilt blocks as well, but decided she liked the sashing idea, so she took it home to finish it.
We had so much fun, so much laughter, so much fellowship and so much good food....once again, it was a wonderful week!
*** Bikini season is right around the corner….unfortunately, so is the pizza
place! ***
