Michael and I got all 3 candy boxes packed and out on the porch for pick-up, first thing Monday morning (12/13) (although they didn’t end up getting picked up until 6 PM!!!).
I headed downstairs after that to work on a quilting project:
and Michael made me a smurfy breakfast to keep me going:
I took a break from sewing and spent hours making a start on our yearly missive….we haven’t sent one out for 2 years and I am determined to get one done for our Christmas cards this year. My honey headed out to get in some practice at the driving range since he didn’t have any golf set up for today, and was home after 2 PM.
I continued to work on the missive until around 5 PM when we both got cleaned up (here's what happened to Micahel while he was waiting for me):
and headed over to Hickory Tavern. Paula and Doug:
organized a get together for some neighbors:

-Andria & John
-Bob
and it was a lovely chance to meet some new people and greet some old. When we got home, we both decided to read for a couple of hours before bed.
*** I don’t understand why people have to ‘’get ready’’ for bed….I’m always ready for bed! ***
