Friday (11/3) morning started with an early morning eye doctor appointment for me. Several of my (weeks and weeks ago) binding students commented on how red my eyes were, and I finally remembered to mention it to our eye doctor at our last appointment. She discovered I had become sensitive (allergic?) to the eye drops I put in twice a day for glaucoma, and put me on a different prescription. She gave it 6 weeks and wanted to check it out….and I was pronounced cured….all of the irritation has cleared up, and my pressure is still good.
I had breakfast and read my book when I got home….I finished up the 4th in the series…and these are wonderful books…all available at the library. The author is Richard Osman, and you should read the books in the following order: The Thursday Murder Club, then The Man Who Died Twice, then The Bullet That Missed and finally The Last Devil To Die. I guess if forced, I would put them in the genre of cozy mysteries.
By then we got a delivery call….and our new mattress arrived. Even the 2 young and strong delivery guys struggled with the weight of it….but eventually all was settled:
-sending confirmation and picture of delivery
I know the quilt will keep us warm, but MAN....I gotta get busy on a bigger quilt because this one looks ridiculous!!!
And I am so happy to say that the height of the bed is absolutely perfect....thank goodness we got the half height box spring, as the mattress itself is SO HIGH!!!
I got to head to the studio then, to continue sewing on the QoV, and dream of my first quilt for the new bed :~). After running his lines, Michael came down to talk, so here are furry kid's pictures for the day:
-even a little detente....that's Lucy up there
Michael left at 5:30 PM for OPENING NIGHT of THE OUTSIDER (have I mentioned that all performances are SOLD OUT!!!!), and one of my knitting students came by for about 1-1/2 hours for a bit of help.
After that I settled in with my own knitting and watched BOOK CLUB 2 on Amazon Prime….it was an ok movie….but I want to look up who directed it because I felt it was kinda slow moving. Michael did not get home until MID_NIGHT….and I was already snuggled into our new bed :~).
*** Did you know muffins spelled backwards is what you do when you take them out of the oven. ***
Love my king size Temperpedic & I know you will too!
So where did the fainting couch go ?!
So, I guess you had to get NEW sheets to fit a King-Size bed. At first I was wondering if your existing sheets 'fit' the higher mattress, but then realized you switched to a king.
Hope you LOVE it ! The frame is beautiful !
LOL at your funny. Hope your bed is as comfy and it is pretty. Love the swirly teal covering.
And did it make you sleep like a baby
