I spent a good bit of time getting my Scrap Happy computer work in order and getting out the minutes on Monday morning (1/8), then I got a blog entry out. My (irritated with doing nothing honey) was upstairs, getting himself breakfast and reading the paper.
He managed to make it down the stairs (VERY carefully and slowly) to load up some tunes for the Mustang before tooling around in the afternoon with a neighbor….Pete!
I worked on the initial sashing for my quilt:
and then spent 45 minutes finding the perfect green for cornerstones on this quilt….and then spent another 45 minutes trying 3 different measurements to try to find the right size to cut everything to make the cornerstones fit….no luck :~(. My quilt math totally failed me, so I guess it will just be purple sashing.
We are working our way through THE GREAT BRITISH BAKING SHOW – HOLIDAYS in the evenings.
And BG has finished her jar quilt top...I love it!!! She is gifting to the owner of the farm co-op where she gets her produce all summer:

What a collection of great fruit& vegetable fabrics!
The purple sashing is great. Love the colors in the quilt. I sympathize with Michael. I remember when I broke my ankle and had a cast on for a month. I was not good to live with!
dont give up on cornerstones ! It's a beauty of a quilt ! When are you starting the quilt for your new bed ?
Oh love BG's jars.
Hmmm Cornerstones- sashing size of square + square for cornerstone same size as sashing. stitch end to end and stitch to stitched squares that have been stitched in rows.
