Michael and I both had a filling, late breakfast on Sunday (8/8). I had a piece of quiche (thawed over night from the freezer) while he had leftover pancakes…and we both split some leftover fried potatoes. I made it to my computer by 11 AM, to put out my blog and run through my emails. Michael came down to harvest some produce...we FINALLY got a few bigger tomatoes:
When I was done, I got my Bento Box quilt trimmed and on the (ever growing) to-be-bound pile:
This is the first quilt I have trimmed since my surgery, and things seemed to go ok, so I feel I am fully back on the quilting bandwagon :~).
I finished loading up my fleece backing.
I had anticipated loading up my first quilt after that…but I swear I have A-D-D some days. I went over to my computer to make a note to myself….and re-saw a scrap pattern I’ve been wanting to make for awhile. Janice uses these little clips:
to put together the compoments of her scrap blocks until she sews them and I decided I was going to start….but when I went to my scrap drawer, I found I had already started clipping together a different scrap quilt:
I quickly decided how many blocks I would need to make a small quilt…put 3 more together…and got all 30 blocks sewn up!
While that was happening, I got a customer label stitched out:
By then it was late (it was after 7 PM as the golf ran long and also had a 2 hole playoff), so I headed upstairs for:
and:
Yep – champagne and our favorite puffy things and relaxing with my honey.
*** How to drink wine:
1.Open the bottle and let it breathe.
2.If it doesn’t look like it’s breathing, give it mouth to mouth. ***
