Michael cancelled his golf Saturday morning (3/12) as it had poured overnight, not to mention it was cold, windy and raw. I spent a lot of the morning getting a blog entry out, before getting to do some quilting stuff!

I headed back to my QUAP project box and got my QoV zig zag labeled with the size and hung up in the closet:

You know...I used to store my quilt tops in the downstairs guest bedroom. Once in awhile the kitties like to hang out in there, and sometimes they decide to lie on the quilts....covering them with cat hair....so I started hanging them up in the closet in that room. Unfortunately, that is also my yarn closet (which the kitties would wreak havoc in!), so anytime I wanted to look at one of the tops to figure out what I needed to make for backing, I'd have to sneak into the bedroom and close the door to keep the kitties out, before I could open the closet door to see my quilts. With the upheaval of getting the basement floor done, the closet in the main room was emptied out and I decided that was the perfect place to hang my tops. That was a great idea...except now it is very easy to look in there....and all too obvious just how many tops I have...and I don't even have all of them hanging in there yet:

After that I cut, sewed and added borders on my jelly roll race type quilt from retreat:

I also got binding made for that quilt:

And I constantly had to chase a sleeping furry baby off of my sewing chair:

By then it was time to change and head up to the Lodge for ABBEY ROAD LIVE, an excellent cover band for the Beatles:

Thanks to Paula having 2 extra tickets, we got to see this excellent show! We were home just after 6 PM for Mexican Chicken Soup for dinner…and I got the backing for a new customer quilt loaded before joining my honey for the rest of the evening.

Michael corrected my recollection of when we were at the Chart House:

It was 2010…we had a special menu….we were near Savannah at a new Del Webb as ambassadors for the life style.

I don’t think I’ve posted these pics….Arizona Mary and Jan H got a chance to visit Mecca…you know…that’s MSQC (Missouri Star Quilt Company for quilters :~):

And Janice has finished the Strip Twist she started at the QUAP retreat…she’s going to bind it in the dark blue shown on the right:
